US-Iran talks in Pakistan could start in 36 to 72 hours: Trump
President
Trump had announced the extension of the ceasefire by postponing the visit of
the US delegation to Pakistan, but also indicated that the blockade of the
Iranian navy would continue.
The American
newspaper New York Post has made a surprising revelation in its latest report,
which says that President Trump has confirmed the possibility of talks starting
in one and a half to three days.,
Caitlin
Doornbos, a journalist associated with the New York Post, said that she was
told by Trump and Pakistani sources that talks are possible on Friday.
The New York
Post made this claim while quoting a Pakistani source who told the American
newspaper on condition of anonymity that talks with Iran in Islamabad could
begin any time in the next three days.
The report
said that when President Trump was asked by Pakistani sources about the
possibility of talks starting in three days, the US president replied in a text
message that it was possible.
It should be
noted that the two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran is set to end on
April 22, but yesterday President Trump extended the war until Iran's political
and military leadership reach an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz.
