Russia declares unconditional support for Iran
Russian
President Vladimir Putin has assured his full support to the Iranian government
and people in a congratulatory message on the occasion of Nowruz.
According to
the International News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated
his determination that Russia stands with the Iranian government and its
people.
President
Putin said that the partnership between the two countries is strong. We pray
for steadfastness, strength and courage for the Iranian people in these
difficult circumstances.
In the past
few months, relations between Iran and Russia have been further strengthened.
Meetings and agreements between the Iranian President and Putin have further
strengthened this partnership.
This
statement is being seen as open support for Iran by Russia because before this,
Russia had mostly talked about reducing tensions.
The Russian
president had also proposed a ceasefire in his conversation with US President
Trump, which included a plan to transfer Iran's enriched uranium to Russia, but
the US rejected this proposal.
According to
reports, Russia has also been accused of providing Iran with information about
US military bases so that they can be targeted, but the Kremlin has denied
these allegations.
