History Month 2022
March is the month of national
women's history. These wonderful things are celebrated in schools and neighborhoods
across the country. What the women of our country have achieved.
How
did national women succeed?
During the
mid-19th century, women in many countries began campaigning for their right to
vote and to run for office. She became famous for women's rights in 1904, along
with Militant Fast and Carrie Chapman Kate.
Activists
formed the International Women's Rights Coalition and then Clara Zepkin
celebrated International Women's Day on March 19, 1911. This annual celebration
was about promoting peace and women's rights, but unfortunately, this idea did
not work.
As Clara Zetkin
intended until the 1960s. On this special day, the interest of the 1960s was
reintroduced during the women's movement. The next teachers in Santa Rosa,
California, started celebrating Women's History Week in March 1978.
This week was created to raise awareness about
women's participation in society. This group of educators wanted to draw
attention to the fact that the history of women did not really exist.
Are included in
any school curriculum and these organizers used parade essay competitions and
other school activities to help create more awareness for the celebration over
the next few years.
After which other cities across the country
joined in celebrating Women's History Week in Santa Rosa. Then in 1980
President Jimmy Carter announced it. March 8 was National Women's Week. He
urged everyone in the United States to follow Carter's lead.
And I mentioned that most of the women were
missing and sometimes their participation was ignored and by 1986, 14 states
had declared March as the month of women's history.
Each year the National Women's History Line
chooses a theme for women's history. Beyond the theme of the month and year,
Women's History Month continues the debate about women and their contributions.
She joined the
United States, including Canada and Australia, in 1978, promoting the promotion
of films and the study of women's achievements in museums since the first week
of women's history.
Every president since 1995 has declared March
the month of women's history. And it usually comes with a statement about its
importance as a celebration to learn more about some of the women celebrated
during Women's History Month.
