Washington: US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson has demanded that Pakistan be invited to the World Climate Change Conference, saying that Pakistan is also struggling with the problems caused by climate change.

According to the international website, Sheila Jackson Lee, a member of the US Congress has written a letter to US President Joe Biden's special envoy John Kerry asking him to invite Pakistan to the US Climate Change Conference.

In her letter, Sheila Jackson said that Pakistan is also struggling with the problems caused by climate change.

He said the rapid melting of glaciers posed a threat to rivers and Pakistan was a key ally of The United States in the region. A joint strategy should be adopted with Islamabad on the issue of climate change.

In the article, the Prime Minister highlighted the challenges facing Pakistan due to climate change. He said that last summer, Pakistan faced the worst rains of the century when the monsoon rains wreaked havoc.

"I see that the environmental conference COP 26 is failing without an economic agreement. In my opinion, the environmental conference should be linked to economic agreements," he wrote.

The Prime Minister wrote in his article that Pakistan ranks eighth in the Global Climate Risk Index, which is why Pakistan has been directly affected by climate change on 152 occasions in the last 20 years.
