with Iran to be signed tomorrow; Strait of Hormuz will be opened to all; Trump
US President
Donald Trump has claimed that a major deal with Iran will be signed tomorrow,
after which the Strait of Hormuz will be immediately opened to all countries.
According to
the international news agency, President Trump said this in a statement on his
social media platform Truth Social.
President
Trump added that Iran no longer wants to acquire nuclear weapons, nor will it
be in a position to buy, manufacture or obtain them in any way.
According to
him, immediately after the signing of the deal, the Strait of Hormuz, which is
a vital sea route for global trade and energy transport, will be opened to all
countries of the world.
President
Trump added that relations between the US and Iran are now better than under
any previous administration and the current developments indicate a significant
reduction in tensions between the two countries.
He strongly
criticized former US President Barack Obama's nuclear deal with Iran (JCPOA).
The US
President further said that Barack Obama's agreement was taking Iran closer to
a nuclear weapon, while according to him, the current proposed agreement has
the opposite effect and will prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
It should be
noted that the parties, including the US and Iran, as well as mediator
Pakistan, have also announced that the draft of the ceasefire agreement is
closer to completion than ever before.
