How does the unique 'Privacy Display' feature work in Samsung's new phone S26?

Samsung has launched its latest smartphone, the Galaxy S26, which is priced slightly higher than its previous models.

One of the special features of this phone is that it has a ‘privacy display’ feature for the first time. With its help, you can ensure that no one else can see your screen.

The Samsung S26 series will go on sale from March 11.

It should be noted that the increase in demand for memory chips has put pressure on the prices of electronic products.

Samsung had warned last month that the increase in the use of artificial intelligence is leading to a shortage of chips and its pressure is on smartphones and display units.

Companies like Meta, Google and Microsoft want to build an artificial intelligence infrastructure. This has increased the demand for memory chips. Now chip manufacturers are focusing on more profitable things for data centers instead of consumer devices.

Privacy display

showing interest in is called Privacy Display. It is available as an option in the phone’s drop-down menu.

According to Samsung, privacy at the ‘pixel level’ is a new development that fundamentally changes the way users are protected.

When you use your phone in everyday situations such as traveling, restaurants or in the office, you want to ensure the privacy of your personal information.

According to Samsung, ‘by controlling the spread of light at the pixel level, this display keeps content clear, bright and comfortable for the user in everyday use while limiting the possibility of being seen by others.’

Unlike traditional privacy films, if you keep this feature off, the screen can be easily seen from the sides, but when you turn it on, the display remains black from the sides, meaning no one can read your messages.

Users can choose when this feature turns on, such as when entering a PIN or password or when opening specific apps. You can also adjust the privacy level according to the situation.

With partial and full privacy display, you can dim the screen whenever and however much you want.

Easy use of photos and everyday AI

Meanwhile, Google says that the S26 is the smartphone in which Google's most advanced AI tools will be available. For example, you can ask Gemini to book a ride home, buy groceries or order your favorite food. You can also directly monitor any task given to Gemini.

You can search for it on Google by drawing a circle on any photo, such as the clothes of an Instagram model.

According to Google, these phones also have an AI feature that can tell you if an incoming call is from a scammer.

Meanwhile, this phone also has a 'Photo Assist' feature through which users can ask AI to change something in their photo, such as the background, color of clothes, etc.
