In a pUS President Donald Trump has said that he will increase trade with both Pakistan and India ‘substantially’.ost on his social media platform

 The Truth on Sunday, the US President said that ‘I will significantly increase trade with these two great countries.’

Donald Trump wrote in his post that ‘I am very proud of the strong and steadfast leadership of Pakistan and India who, with courage, vision and wisdom, realized that the time has come to stop the aggression. Because of which millions of innocent and good people could have been killed and there could have been widespread destruction.’


He further wrote, “I am also proud of America for helping you reach this historic and courageous decision and succeeding. And without consulting anyone, I am going to increase trade with both countries.”

“Likewise, I will work with both of you on whether there can be a solution to the Kashmir dispute even after a thousand years. May God bless the leadership of Pakistan and India, they have done a great job.”

This statement by the US President came after a ceasefire was reached between Pakistan and India.

US President Donald Trump’s statement is appreciated: Pakistani Foreign Office

Pakistan’s Foreign Office has said that it appreciates US President Donald Trump’s recent statement regarding Pakistan-India relations.

The statement issued on Sunday said, “We appreciate President Trump’s willingness to work towards a resolution of the Kashmir issue.”

“Pakistan emphasizes that the only final solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is one that is based on the United Nations Security Council resolutions and the fundamental right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination.”


 

Earlier, the two countries had engaged in fierce fighting and exchanged attacks.

However, despite the ceasefire agreement, Pakistan and India have accused each other of violating it.

Earlier, on Saturday, US President Donald Trump had announced through a post on Truth that a ceasefire had been reached between Pakistan and India.

After that, the foreign ministers of Pakistan and India had also confirmed the ceasefire.

US Secretary of State Mark Rubio praised both countries for the ceasefire and said, “Pakistan and India are ready to start talks on many important issues at a neutral venue.”

It should be noted that after India attacked various places in Pakistan, Pakistan retaliated by attacking several places in India.

After which Saudi Arabia, the US and Turkey mobilized for a ceasefire and after talks between the officials of the two countries, a ceasefire was formally announced on Saturday.



Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US President Donald Trump for their role in the ceasefire.
