Is the arrival of new technology going to kill mobile phones?
Just as the
advent of mobiles has reduced the usefulness of landline phones, another new
technology has arrived that will also make smartphones obsolete to some extent.
An AI-based
startup called 'Human' has launched an AI PIN that will compete with
smartphones.
It is
believed to be one of the most popular technology products in the world.
'Human' is a start-up that was started five years ago by Imran Chaudhry and
his wife, former employees of the American multinational technology company
Apple.
According to
technology news website 'The Verge', the AI pin weighs around 34 grams. It
weighs another 20 grams when you install the 'Battery Booster', it also has a
13-megapixel camera that can record great quality photos and videos as well.
Human's 'AI
pin' has all the features of a smartphone but has a very different design from
a smartphone.
With it you
can make calls, send messages and get information from around the world through
voice control.
The device
is controlled mostly through conversation, but the device also has a laser
display that can turn your palm into a mini-screen, meaning that if someone
calls you, the laser display will show your hand. A calling screen will appear
on the palm of your hand.
Not only
this, but the time, date, and other information will also be visible on the laser
display. AI Pin works as a voice assistant.
The good
thing about this device is that the operating system of the AI pin is an LLM
virtual assistant that can translate your words into different languages with
your voice.
The main
function of the AI pin is to connect to AI models via software that the company
calls 'AI Mic'. Human's press release mentions both Microsoft and OpenAI.
Previous
reports indicated that PIN was primarily driven by GPT-4. Access to ChatGPT is
actually one of the primary features of the device, Human says.
Its operating system 'Cosmos' is designed to
automatically route your queries to the right tools instead of downloading and
configuring apps.
