Trump claims
US President
Donald Trump has claimed that Iran's missile stockpile has been significantly
reduced and it will ultimately have no choice but to make a deal.
In an
interview with NBC News, President Trump said that Iran now has only 21 to 22
percent of its missiles left. He said that Iran will be forced to take steps it
never imagined.
President
Trump said that the ongoing conflict and its resolution take time and such
matters are not resolved immediately. However, the situation is moving in a
direction where Iran will have to come to negotiations and an agreement.
Earlier,
while talking to reporters, the US President had said that his administration
was achieving great success on the Iran issue. He once again expressed his
determination that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.
President
Trump said that Iran is not currently in a position to have nuclear weapons and
the United States is consistent with its policy in this regard.
Talking
about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, he said that a large number of oil
tankers are passing through this important sea passage, but he refrained from
giving a specific number.
According to
the US President, the resolution of the crisis related to the Strait of Hormuz
should not take much time and as soon as the situation returns to normal, oil
prices in the global market are expected to decrease.
He added
that oil prices will not only decrease but may even fall below the current
level.
