Donald Trump has said he wants to meet with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali
Khamenei, and it is possible that he will meet with him in the future, it all
depends on the circumstances. According to the French news agency AFP, during
an interview on the New York Post podcast, President Trump said, "I would
like to meet with him, and maybe we will meet at some point, it depends on how
things go."
He said that
‘Iran has already agreed that it will not build nuclear weapons, and Iranian
Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is involved in the process of negotiations with
the United States.’
The US
President further said that ‘the Iranians have already agreed that they will
not have nuclear weapons.’
On the issue
of Lebanon, Donald Trump also admitted to having a tough conversation with
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said that ‘I was not happy with
Israel’s continued fighting with Lebanon.’
He clarified
that ‘I was not angry, but I was definitely a little worried about their
continued fighting with Lebanon.’
