They say

lunch or dinner in the business world is not business but business and time

it started in the nineteenth century when some bars (bars) started encouraging
their customers to have a free meal with a bottle of beer. In the temptation of
a free meal, people would order beer. The salt content in the food was a little

the customer would order more bottles of beer, which would cover the cost of
the meal and thus the saying began.
