Sudden increase in Corona cases in India, number of patients exceeds 5,000
Corona cases
in India have suddenly increased and the number of patients has crossed 5,000.
According to
a foreign news agency report, the new Corona variant NB 1.8.1 has started
spreading in many countries. The NB 1.8.1 variant was reported in the UK, USA,
China, Thailand, Hong Kong.
The World
Health Organization has declared NB 1.81 as a variant under surveillance.
According to
the report, global experts are concerned that the new variant will spread more
rapidly. The NB 1.8.1 variant has a higher ability to bind to human cells.
Global
experts say that the symptoms of the new Corona variant include sore throat,
cough, fever, the severity of the Corona virus has not increased, but the speed
of spread may be higher.
According to
data released by the Union Health Ministry of India recently, 685 new Corona
cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, while four people
have died due to this epidemic.
These deaths
have occurred in New Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. The situation
of active cases of Corona in different states is as follows, Maharashtra has
467, Delhi 375, Gujarat 265, Karnataka 234, West Bengal 205, Tamil Nadu 185 and
Uttar Pradesh has 117 active cases.
As of May 22
of this month, there were only 257 active cases in the entire country, which
increased to 1,110 by May 26 and has now reached 3,400.
According to
Indian media, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Director General Dr.
Rajiv Bahl said, "We are closely monitoring the situation. At present, we
need to be cautious and vigilant." According to Hindustan Times, the
number of active cases in the country has reached nearly 3,400 on Saturday.
