Poultry Science is the fastest-growing sector of agriculture in India. The average annual growth rate of this sector is 8 to 10 percent, which is why our country is the third country in the production of chicken eggs after China and the United States.

Similarly, our country ranks fifth in the production of broiler chicken meat. (After the United States, China, Brazil, and Mexico, the share of the poultry sector in the national 'Gross National Income (GNP)' is 33,000 crores. In the next five years, this amount is likely to reach 60,000 crores. Three million (30 lacks) people in the country are connected to this sector through which the business of this sector is 352 billion rupees annually.   Those who are interested in this field should first take the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSC and Animal Husbandry) course.

  After completing graduation from the BVSc course one has to pursue a Master in Veterinary and Animal Husbandry course.

  Then after completing Ph.D. in Poultry related field you can become a specialist in that field.
