France pensions protest: King Charles' state visit postponed amid unrest.

France is angry and angry. You can hear the crowd cheering outside Paris during the ongoing protests that saw the Bordeaux town hall set on fire last night. Where bins and newspaper kiosks were set on fire, some firefighters joined the protesters in a nationwide strike and march against the pension age.

It seems that both the rioters and the police response are becoming increasingly violent. Perhaps this is not the best time for any state visit that is hosting a king at Versailles. After that, all the protestors marched on the palace for the last time which did not turn out very well for the monarchy, and even yesterday while the striking workers said they refused to lay the red carpet.

French ministers were insisting there were no security problems for King Charles' visit and the embassy in Britain was celebrating the event this morning, ending in humiliation for the president. He had to be asked to postpone his visit to Britain.

We will not be serious and will. Amidst the protests I had the good sense to propose a state visit to the King and Queen, I decided to call them this morning and tell them what the situation was once that decision had been made. And friendship leads us to the proposition of delay.

Now it is the closest place to meet the king of France. A wax statue was unveiled in a museum in Paris. Today the man himself will head straight for the second leg of his planned state visits to Germany in the middle of next week.

The French President said:

"There are demonstrations and strikes everywhere and that's normal. Because the city of Paris is full of real residents. I'm like King Charles. I don't know why he's not coming. He usually says it's France for Britain. "So the project will go ahead under the 'Good for Europe' theme. He has made it clear that law enforcement has the full support of this."

Amnesty International has been involved in scenes of condemnation through excessive force. This was the reaction of the police against a photographer who is clearly shouting that he is a member of the press. And so the stench of garbage in the streets and flamboyant fury have become the new norm in France.

But it seems that I spoke to French MEP Manor Aubry from the left-wing party La France Alsomès and started asking him if the protesters would be happy that King Charles had to postpone his visit. In fact, it looks like we are about to protest.

We have more of an influence on the King in the UK than our own King in France so at least we have to throw away the first win and I hope we have our own national team.

The main reasons for the retirement period are:

On the real issue of the retirement age you know I mean the French people should look at what is happening around the world in the UK at age 66 it will be 67 maybe 70 for many young people. They will not get a pension until they are one year old.

People are living longer, and they are spending more money. Someone has to pay for it, which means France thinks it can trend. Our pension system does not have a huge deficit. Even as we are talking here, there is a potential deficit of 0.1 percent of our GDP over 10 years.

In other words, it is nothing in many ways. You may realize that very little of this is based on assumptions, so why not do all the editing? It's just ideological for economic reasons and it's clear that the French people don't want it and that's why we have such a big movement that it's still supported by 80 people who look through the lens. This is too much.

About that dynamic, I mean it's an interesting thing, I mean you talked about '68 in modern times, we've seen the street protests in France from the right that This is an issue that unites left and right, I don't. Think of it as a place of left and right now. What is happening in the streets?

Initially, it is a movement for social rights but the way Michael is trying to impose it becomes a movement for democracy. As I said, it was really clear to reform without getting a vote in Parliament, you know, a good power that we would say in French, I don't know if that means anything in English, but they really did. Democratic methods were used. Without trying to push it so we can see what it is.

Movement is going on in the streets. We are now starting a kind of institutional crisis that is very serious in France and think that the best way to solve it is just for people to vote again and maybe stay close to their own people. Change institutions. Be sure to share your opinion, thanks.
