The Life and Sad Ending of Jim Kelly - A Legendary Tribute
A legendary
tribute to the living and tragic end of Jim Kelly. Jim Kelly was born on May 5,
1946, in Millersburg, Kentucky. James Milton Kelly's father ran a locker
business for our Navy personnel.
While attending Bourbon County High School in
Kentucky, he was involved in many sports. In which he played football and
basketball. He also competed in track and field athletics and later attended
Louisville University. Where he played football, Kelly gradually developed an
interest in karate.
In his new
year, he left university to pursue karate. He trained Xiaolin to do karate

Career
start
Kelly began his career in the 1970s as a martial arts trainer 1971. Kelly has won several World Karate Championships, the most notable of which was the World Middleweight Karate title at the Long Beach International Karate Championships. Kelly was also a tennis player.

played amateur tennis at Palmer Park. Kelly was a professional tennis player
for the United States Tennis Association. After establishing himself as a
martial artist, Kelly opened his own dojo to practice karate.
Many Hollywood celebrities frequented her
dojo. In 1972, Kelly had the opportunity to provide martial arts training to
actor Calvin Lockhart for the film Melinda. It was a turning point in his
career. The film was directed by Hugh Robertson and starred Lockhart as a radio
disc jockey.
Kelly's
outstanding performance in martial arts gave rise to the character of martial
arts teacher Charles Atkins. The filmmakers cast her in the role of Charles
Atkins, it was Kelly's first film, Kelly was the first black actor. Who worked

In 1976, an Indian scout specializing in martial arts performed as a cash talker. Jim Kelly starred in the action movie The Hot Potato. Which was a sequel to Black Belt Jones starring Kelly. The film is about the abduction of a US senator's daughter. Kelly played Jones, who was tasked with rescuing the woman.
Kelly starred in the movie Blaxploitation. The
black samurai Kelly played the lead role of Robert Sand, who in later years
served as an agent for the defense agency Dragon. lly was a part of many movies
in the 1980s, such as Tattoo Connection and One Down to Go.
Due to a drop in demand for martial arts
films, Kelly received fewer film offers. His last film was Afro-Ninja Kelly in
2009. Kelly, the film's guest actor, married twice in 1967, marrying Marilyn
Dishman, who had been his girlfriend since college days. The couple divorced in
1968.
He had one
daughter, Sabrina. From 1973 to 1976, Kelly married Marsha Bentley 1980.
Kelly died of cancer on June 29, 2013, at her home in San Diego, California. She
was 67 years old.
