Afghan government will be announced later، The announcement of a new government in Afghanistan was expected today۔ but now there are reports that the announcement of a new administration has been delayed by a week.

The announcement of Afghanistan's new administration was expected after Friday prayers۔ but a Taliban spokesman said the announcement of the new administration had been postponed until Saturday.

Earlier, it was reported that the Taliban had convened an important meeting in Kabul۔ after Friday prayers to form a new government.

Sources have claimed that Mullah Hebatullah is likely to be made the supreme leader of the Taliban government۔ while Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is likely to be made the head of the government.

Sources also said that Sher Muhammad Abbas Stanikzai۔ deputy director of the Taliban's political office in Qatar۔ is likely to be appointed Afghanistan's foreign minister۔ while Mullah Zaeef could be re-appointed ambassador to Pakistan.

A Taliban spokesman said:

According to sources, Taliban spokesmen Zabihullah Mujahid and Sirajuddin Haqqani are also likely to be included in the cabinet. In addition, the Taliban government could include Abdullah Abdullah, Hamid Karzai, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, and other Afghan leaders.

It should be noted that the Taliban took control of Kabul on August 15۔ but they announced that as long as there is a single US soldier in Afghanistan۔ neither the government nor the cabinet will be announced.

The United States announced its withdrawal from Afghanistan a day before the August 31 deadline۔ after which the Taliban intensified consultations on governance۔ and according to Afghan media reports۔ the Taliban's consultations were completed.

Mullah Baradar will lead the new Afghan government:

Mullah Baradar, the Taliban's co-founder and head of the political office۔ will lead the new Afghan government.

Taliban sources confirmed this on Friday۔ according to the British news agency Reuters.

The announcement of a new Taliban government is expected soon as its fighters fight in the Panjshir Valley north of Kabul.

However, a Taliban spokesman told the news agency that the announcement of the new administration۔ which was expected after the first Friday prayers۔ would not be possible before Saturday.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told Urdu News last night that "the date of the announcement۔ of the new government and the names of the ministers have not been decided yet."

The new government's immediate priority is to revive a declining economy۔ that has been badly affected by drought and war.

An estimated 240,000 Afghans have died in the war so far.

At least three Taliban sources said that Mullah Mohammad Yaqub and Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, sons of Taliban founder Mullah Omar, would also be given key positions in the new government led by Mullah Baradar.

A Taliban official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said all senior leaders had arrived in Kabul, where preparations for the new government were in the final stages.

"Taliban leader Habibullah Akhunzada will focus on religious issues and governance within the realm of Islam," said another Taliban official.

The Afghan Taliban, who took control of Kabul after winning most of the country on August 15, has faced resistance in the Panjshir Valley, where there have been reports of heavy fighting and casualties.

Thousands of regional militia fighters and the remains of government armed forces have gathered in the deserted valley, led by Ahmed Masood, son of former Mujahideen commander Ahmad Shah Masood.

Efforts to negotiate a compromise appear to be failing۔ with each side blaming the other for the failure.

The Taliban have announced a coalition government۔ but sources close to the militant group say the new interim government will consist only of Taliban members.

Sources close to the Taliban added that a Loi Jirga is also expected in six to eight months۔ which will bring together elders and all representatives of Afghan society to discuss the constitution and future government structure.

All sources said that the cabinet of the interim government would be finalized soon۔ but there was a disagreement that some said that it would be decided after Friday۔ while others thought that it would be finalized by the middle of next week. I Will go It will take time.
